7月21日，江西省第一次地理国情普查领导小组办公室与江西省总工会联合印发了《关于开展江西省第一次地理国情普查劳动竞赛的通知》，决定组织开展江西省第一次地理国情普查劳动竞赛。

通知明确，为加强组织领导，成立江西省第一次地理国情普查劳动竞赛委员会，全面负责组织实施劳动竞赛活动。江西省国土资源厅党组成员、江西省测绘地理信息局局长高振华和江西省总工会党组成员、副主席陈文明担任劳动竞赛委员会主任。劳动竞赛委员会办公室设在江西省测绘地理信息局，负责具体组织与管理工作。

通知强调，劳动竞赛委员将根据量化考核结果，从全省地理国情普查劳动竞赛中涌现出的贡献突出、绩效显著的集体和个人中，选拔出一批先进集体和先进个人。在先进个人中择优选取6人按程序向省总工会申报“江西省五一劳动奖章”，并向国普办和中华全国总工会推荐相应荣誉；先进集体由省普办授予相应荣誉，并向国普办和中华全国总工会推荐相应荣誉。
