7月14日，国家测绘地理信息局卫星测绘应用中心召开全体职工大会，认真传达学习贯彻全国测绘地理信息局长座谈会精神，重点学习国家测绘地理信息局党组书记、局长库热西在全国测绘地理信息局长座谈会上的重要讲话。

会议认为，库热西局长的讲话思想深邃，立意高远，主题明确，内容丰富，重点突出，要求切实，客观准确地总结了上半年工作，全面深入地分析了深化改革面临的形势，鲜明地指出了测绘地理信息工作全面深化改革的定位、重点及其主要内容，提出了做好下半年工作的具体要求。

会议要求，卫星中心要深刻领会国家局对于全面深化测绘地理信息领域改革、加快推进测绘地理信息事业转型升级的重要决策部署要求，切实学好、贯彻落实好局长会议精神。针对卫星中心2014年下半年重点工作，会议进行了安排部署：一要做好测绘卫星规划的立项和实施，这是卫星测绘事业发展的后劲所在；二要全面建设完成资源三号卫星应用系统，这是卫星测绘的工作基础；三要做好统一时点的影像统筹，这是地理国情普查的基础保障；四要做好卫星影像应用服务，这是卫星测绘的生命力所在；五要坚持科技创新，这是卫星测绘的动力源泉。
