7月9日凌晨3时许，福贡县匹河怒族乡沙瓦村沙瓦河发生泥石流灾害。灾情就是命令，云南省测绘地理信息局迅速派出无人机测绘分队赶赴福贡泥石流灾区现场进行航摄。

云南省测绘地理信息局根据灾情实际，成立了两支应急分队，其中一支继续驻守上帕镇腊吐底村山体滑坡灾区；另一支携多旋翼无人机赶赴匹河怒族乡沙瓦村沙瓦河泥石流灾害现场，在重点监测区域执行应急航摄任务。目前，已成功获取灾区实况视频及278张高分辨率影像数据，航摄区覆盖沙瓦河纵深12公里，沙瓦河支流纵深3公里。相关数据将移交救灾指挥部门用于应急救灾、灾情评估及灾害隐患排查工作。
