6月10日，陕西测绘地理信息局召开“美丽中国”第二届全国国家版图知识竞赛和少儿手绘地图大赛（陕西赛区）专题工作会议，对两大赛事的相关组织、筹备工作进行全面部署。副局长王晓国主持会议并讲话。

王晓国指出，开展“美丽中国”第二届国家版图知识竞赛和少儿手绘地图大赛陕西赛区竞赛，是普及国家版图知识、提高全民国家版图意识的有力抓手，是爱国主义教育的重要组成部分，是贯彻落实党的十八大提出的维护国家领土主权和海洋权益的重要举措，也是进一步增强省广大学生、社会公众和新闻媒体了解版图知识、使用正确国家版图的能力，维护国家版图尊严的一项重要举措。竞赛委员会各办事机构和局相关处室、单位要高度重视，充分认识开展“美丽中国”第二届竞赛的重要意义，并按照职责分工充分准备，加强协调，密切配合，按计划扎实推进各项工作，力争把陕西赛区的竞赛办出特色、办出水平、办出影响力。

王晓国要求，竞赛组委会办公室要进一步完善、细化实施方案内容，增强操作性，使其成为我省竞赛开展和检查落实的有力依据，保障国家版图知识个人赛、团体赛以及少儿手绘地图大赛陕西赛区竞赛的顺利开展；要采用多种形式尽快启动竞赛宣传，大力营造氛围，扩大竞赛知晓率，广泛动员社会各界踊跃参与竞赛；竞赛委员会专家组要集中力量丰富竞赛题库，突出时事热点和陕西特色元素，及时、分批向各竞赛队伍提供样题，确保各队伍快速适应竞赛题型，为陕西省国家版图知识团体赛的开展打好基础，为顺利组队参加全国竞赛提供保障。
